A quarter sectioned within the area of the cemetery belonging to the parish of the Birth of St. John the Baptist in Leszno with ashes of soldiers of the Polish Army and the Home Army as well as civilians who were killed in combat against the Hitlerian invader between 1939 and 1944. Establishing the quarter started after the fall of the September campaign in 1939, continued i.a. in 1965 and finished in 1974. 40 soldiers from the 84th Infantry Regiment (Polesian Riflemen) of the 30th Infantry Division killed between 13th and 18th of September 1939 in the areas of Roztoka, Leszno and Radzikowo are buried here. Here, we can also find the graves of the guerrillas from the “Kampinos” group of the Home Army murdered in 1944 and 17 victims from among the civilian populace. The area of the military quarter is 0,009 ha and contains six long mounds with 22 white crosses.
