The cemetery at the parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rokitno was established around the year 1700 in the vicinity of the local church. What is currently worth particular attention is the military quarters with ashes of the Polish Army soldiers from the “Łódź” army killed in combat against the Germans on 12th and 13th September 1939 near Płochocin, Kopytów, święcice, Łaźniew, Orły and Myszczyn (the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Infantry Regiment of the 2nd Legion Infantry Division, 83rd and 84th Polesian Riflemen Regiment, 82nd Siberian Riflemen Regiment from the 30th Infantry Division and 146th Militia Infantry Regiment from the 44th Militia Infantry Division). From among 176 killed soldiers, 43 are identified and out of 28 civilians, the identity of 12 is known. A commemorative plaque with a cross and a list of names was installed to honour the memory of the defenders of the homeland against the Hitlerian invader. Moreover, at the cemetery, we can find information about the dirt from the graves of Polish officers murdered in Katyń in 1940. In the vicinity of the church, on the graves of Poles fighting in the Russian and Prussian armies during the First World War, wooden crosses were put up and a plaque with the name of colonel Stanisław Różański was dedicated.
